scottish ceilidh bandAlthough we are usually a 3 piece band, we can also play as a 4 or five piece band with second accordion and/or fiddle.
The Orwell Ceilidh Band takes its name from the Parish of Orwell. Milnathort (where Neil originally comes from) is situated in Orwell Parish. The band plays at many functions and ceilidhs in the Perth and Kinross shire area and beyond.

Where have we played?
We have supplied the music for dancing at many weddings and dances throughout Scotland, and have also been guests at folk festivals - including Killin, June 2001; Auchtermuchty, 2002; Milnathort in 2005; Falkland festival in 2008 and 2009. We also played in Sardinia in July 2003.

Neil and Gail did a live performance on radio Scotland's 'Take the floor' programme. The band went down well at the 2004  and 2006 Shetland Accordion and Fiddle festivals and the Angus Accordion and Fiddle festival 2005. More recently, the band were invited back again for Glenfarg Folk Feast's annual ceilidh in 2010 - having played there on numerous other occasions. (see reviews page)
